QIAN Xiaoyong, PhD, Doctor of Engineering, is currently acting as Deputy Director-General of the China International Nuclear Fusion Energy Program Execution Center (ITER China Domestic Agency), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST).
Qian is mainly engaged in coordination, strategic research and project management related to China's participation in the ITER plan and China's Nuclear fusion research and development and is committed to promoting nuclear fusion energy development.
He joined the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) in July 2004, worked in the Department of Basic Research, the General Office the Department of Resource Allocation and Management of MOST, the National Key Basic Research Program (973 Program) and the National Key R&D Program organization and implementation, and the management reform of the science and technology plans funded by the central government.
