YANG Xuemei,Master of Arts,currently serve as the Deputy Director-General of China International Fusion Energy Program Execution Center,the Ministry of Science and Technology. YANG previously worked at the International Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Consulate General of China in Montreal,Canada.She was seconded to serve as the Deputy County Mayor in Wei County,Hebei Province for one year.YANG has been deeply involved in the implementation of scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation with American and Oceanian regions,international organizations,and many other multilateral mechanisms,meanwhile actively promoting the implementation of leading and participating in international mega scientific projects.Currently,her main responsibilities include organizing and coordinating China's participation in the ITER Project,as well as strategic research and international cooperation related to Chinese domestic development of nuclear fusion technology.
