Introduction to ITER Gas Injection System PA

The Gas Injection System is part of ITER PBS18 Fuelling and Wall Conditioning and shall provide gases from Tritium Plant to Vacuum Vessel for plasma initiation, maintenance and control and for wall conditioning. To cope with the ITER Project schedule, the system design has been divided into two parts, which include the gas distribution system (manifold) and the gas fueling GVBs and I&C system.

PA Signature

Gas Injection System PA (3.1.P6.CN.01) has been signed on February 20th, 2012 at Cadarache.

PA Progress

The gas distribution system has finished the final design review on December 8th, 2015 and stepped into the manufacture phase; while the gas fueling GVBs and I&C system plans to finish the preliminary design in the near future.
