JING ZHAO

ZHAO Jing, Researcher, Doctor of Science, Senior Researcher Fellow at Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government (2016.8 - 2017.2), has served as Deputy Director-General (since 2015) of China International Nuclear Fusion Energy Program Execution Center (ITER China Domestic Agency), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST). Committed to promoting the development of nuclear fusion energy, Dr. ZHAO has been engaged in domestic R&D, strategic research and domestic project management. Besides, she is also in charge of the implementation of ITER Project in China. Before entering the ITER China Domestic Agency, Dr. ZHAO held several positions at different organizations, including the State Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defence, Beijing Aerospace Control Center of General Armament Department, China Rural Technology Development Center and National Remote Sensing Center of China. Over the years in MOST, Dr. ZHAO has been working on the management of international mega science projects in high tech fields such as satellite navigation, space exploration and geographical information system. Dr. ZHAO is also experienced in the negotiation, organization and implementation of international science and technology cooperation, as well as supervision of relevant national science and technology plans.
